”This exhibition, located on the shores of Lake Geneva, traces through 40 photographs the photographer's work on the theme of water and shorelines. This minimalist approach to lakeside and seaside landscapes characterizes one of the most important aspects of the author's work on the shores of Japan and elsewhere.
Inspired for a long time by Japanese monochrome painting (sumi-e), the photographer presents a selection of prints that convey a sensitivity and poetry similar to this artistic tradition.
This work demonstrates a specific understanding of Japanese philosophy and culture, to which the author has been dedicated for nearly 30 years”.

水鏡「水と鏡の境界線」
フランス、ネルニエ市ホールにて 2014年8月28日から9月3日まで
レマン湖畔で開催されるこの展覧会は、全40作品を通して水辺や沿岸をテーマにした写真家の主なシリーズの中でも代表的な作品を取り上げています。湖畔や海岸を被写体としたミニマリスト的なアプローチは、写真家の作品の中でも最も根本的で特徴的な点で、作品は日本および他の国々で撮影されました。
日本の伝統的な白黒画（墨絵）に多分に影響された写真家による今回展示されている作品は、水墨画同様の繊細さと詩的さを十分に表現しています。写真家自身の30年にも渡る日本文化や日本観への関わり、そしてそれらを深く理解していることがさらに証明されることと思います。
