The 88 temples pilgrimage around the Shikoku island (selection of prints)
Ohenro – A Shikoku Pilgrimage
This work may reveal a personal approach and my involvement in the Shikoku Henro pilgrimage devoted to Shingon Buddhism.
The photographs of this collection are intimate viewpoints taken among the eighty eight temples I have been honored to visit several times on the Ohenro paths. These places are always endless sources of inspiration.
The pilgrimage route is an exceptional experience on which my Japan work started having a real meaning. Therefore, it must be considered as the expression of my keen interest in Kukai’s teaching throughout an interpretation of artworks and cultural places in the sacred mountains of Shikoku.
