The 88-Temple Pilgrimage
Located in Shikoku, the Henro Pilgrimage is arguably the most famous pilgrimage dedicated to the Shingon Buddhism, honoring 88 temples spread across the island's 4 prefectures. I started this 1.250 km journey in 2013 and completed it in 2019.

This exceptional route through mountains and forests across the island afforded me a unique and personal connection with nature. It was also a fascinating 6-year journey in an ancestral world of statues and temples that I am eager to revisit every year.

This portfolio is a selection of representative prints among hundreds of them. Some of these photographs have been taken by special permission.
